Homework Help
At Corpus Christi we provide children with a reading book and record which we expect to be read and signed on a daily basis. We use Accelerated Reader within school and this can be accessed via the link on the school website.
At the bottom of this page you will find a downloadable list of words children will be learning to spell throughout their time in Year 3 and 4. These lists are a mixture of words that we encourage children to use in their writing and words they can often misspell. Common exception wordlists are included and are part of National Curriculum requirements.
In Year 3 & 4, we encourage children to practise the formal methods of calculation to answer addition, subtraction, multiplication and division questions (an example of these can be downloaded from the bottom of this page). Children are required to recall multiplication facts up to 12x12 and are expected to practise these at home on a regular basis.
Children will also be provided with a homework book with a range of tasks linked to their current topic. We would be grateful if you could encourage your child to continue their learning as much as possible outside of school.
PE & Extracurricular Clubs
Year 3/4 will have PE on a Tuesday afternoon. Each child must have their own PE kit that includes plimsolls, shorts and a t-shirt. Full details can be found on the uniform section of the school website.
There are a host of extracurricular clubs available to your child after school throughout the week. These can be monitored via the calendar on the school website.
